NEW Water is the clean water agency (wastewater treatment organization) that collects and treats all of the used water generated by people and businesses throughout northeast Wisconsin – and recycles it back into the environment. All of the water that is cleaned is returned to the Bay of Green Bay at the mouth of the Fox River. NEW Water has been proudly serving northeast Wisconsin since 1931. NEW Water collects, treats, and recycles approximately 38 million gallons of wastewater every day. NEW Water owns and operates two treatment facilities – one in Green Bay and one in De Pere. The Green Bay Facility treats approx. 30 million gallons per day. The De Pere Facility treats approx. 8 million gallons per day. Both facilities are operated 24 hours a day, 7 day a week, 365 days a year.
