Trailer Technician -

• Inspect, trouble shoot, diagnose, and perform maintenance on equipment • Perform annual vehicle and safety inspections; preventative maintenance and other repairs as necessary • Comprehension and completion of the repair orders, inventory forms, PM schedules, repair forecasts. • Prepare safety documents required by DOT, company and any other Federal, State or Local regulations • The ability to use and reference technical manuals, service bulletins, diagrams and • Must furnish own hand tools • Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment Skills: • Mechanical abilities: o Fabrication o Grinding o Routine welding • Organized and has the ability to deal with multiple activities in a fast paced environment • Excellent communication skills • Team player • Strong work ethic

Student Expectations

  • Dress according to the standards of the particular site;
  • Call the site before the scheduled time if unable to attend on the appointed day;
  • Arrive at the site at the agreed upon time;
  • Follow all guidelines and policies of the site;
  • Complete any school assignments related to the job shadowing experience;
  • Complete all required paperwork (permission, medical authorizations, etc.).
